The World Clock – Time Zones →
I love watching the times change minute by minute, all of them at the exact same time. It’s also fun to know that it’s already almost 9 o’clock FRIDAY morning in Sydney, or almost 11pm (still Thursday, though!) in London.
Time zones are cool.

Margaret: Where’s your costume dear?
Wednesday: This is my costume. I’m a homicidal maniac. They look just like everyone else.

So I’m pretty sure I said something offensive to someone today. I said twice that I was only kidding, and I’m pretty sure that person did not take offense, but I still feel really bad. Like, my table mates were just joking around (about what, I do not remember) and somehow I got pulled into it, and I know they know I was not serious about what I said (at least I hope they know how...

2 o'clock in the morning, I'm in bed, trying to fall asleep, my music is playing lightly. My mom opens the door to let my dog into my room. I roll over to look at her standing in the doorway. I can see her staring at me, but since it's dark I can't see her facial expression. She just stands there silently, staring at me.
ME: What?
MOM: Are you okay?
ME: Yeah.
MOM: Are you talking to yourself?!
ME: No. I was singing to my music.
MOM: It's three in the morning, go to sleep.
she leaves.

So yesterday’s biology lab was looking at the different stages of cell division. And I’m pretty sure I reinforced my lab group’s theory that I am strange and stupid.
I kept saying that I thought metaphase and anaphase were cute. Because they totally are! Like, when the chromosomes line up in the at the equatorial plane then the attached to spindle fibers they are brought to...

I wish I had time for recreational reading.
But I don’t. All I do is homework. And if I’m not doing homework, I’m somehow justifying procrastination of said homework (like right now). Or when I can actually give myself a break, I choose the internet (sometimes I actually go ride my bike) (but a lot of the time the internet wins.) I need a job, too. Which seems impossible right now with school and just the way finding a job...

Spinster by Sylvia Plath
Now this particular girl
During a ceremonious april walk
With her latest suitor
Found herself, of a sudden, intolerably struck
By the birds’ irregular babel
And the leaves’ litter.
By this tumult afflicted, she
Observed her lover’s gestures unbalance the air,
His gait stray uneven
Through a rank wilderness of fern and flower;
She judged petals in disarray,
The whole season,...

I need. . .
ideas for my project for my women’s studies class. The topic is violence (as in violence against women; a very broad topic, I know). The project can be pretty much anything. A blog, poetry, diary, work of art, research essay, film review, book review, biography… literally anything.
I don’t know what to do with this much academic freedom. I have to make a proposal and my own...

Animals Say the Wildest Things
is the best show on NatGeo Wild. An entire show dedicated to people doing voice-overs of animals. IT’S. SO. FUNNY.
